Stage Right

“And so, having disposed of the monster, exit our hero through the front door, stage right….”

If you’re of a certain age, you might recognize that quote from the Bugs Bunny cartoon “Hair-raising Hare.”

Being of a certain age, I tend to trot this line out once I’ve accomplished something that i really didn’t want to do in the first place.

In other news, I was dismissed from jury duty today. Mostly because I told the judge I have a doctor appointment tomorrow that I scheduled months ago, and that’s appointment three of four in the series. But I’m very grateful I’d already handed in Witchmas, because this was a federal jury, and the federal courthouse rules say no electronics in the courthouse. If you bring your phone in, you have to turn it off and put it in a locker. Absolutely no laptops, tablets, Kindles…

I brought a notebook to work on future worldbuilding for the Coven Tree universe (Witchmas is just the start), and my copy of ZomRomCom by Olivia Dade. I got some reading done, but no worldbuilding work. Which is okay. I don’t have to go back tomorrow, so I can clean for Thanksgiving and work on planning.

Exit our hero through the front door, stage right.

A hero. A son of Eire. A reckoning long overdue.

Lorcan never asked for glory. Crowned a noble and hailed as a savior after crushing rebellion, he walks the marble halls adored by all—except himself. Haunted by prophetic visions, he sees not triumph, but torment: his family caged, his homeland threatened, and his cousin’s dark ambitions on the rise.

He knows where he must go.

Leaving behind the splendor of Empire, Lorcan returns to the emerald wilds of Eire, where ancient magic stirs and old loyalties are tested. Beside him stand his mates and his chosen kin—fierce, loyal, and willing to follow him into the heart of danger. But the blood that binds can also betray, and the most dangerous enemy may not be on the battlefield… but seated at his own family’s table.
